Track your IPMA progress

Readiness for each level, your experience, the 28 elements, evidence you log yourself, coaching and your portfolio.

My IPMA progress measures you, not your projects, against the 28 ICB4 competence elements, using evidence from your real work. Readiness is Project 14's estimate, not an IPMA assessment.

1. Choose a target level

LevelTitleElements requiredTarget scoreExperience
DCertified Project Management Associate13 Practice25None
CCertified Project Manager13 Practice, 5 People, 2 Perspective403 years leading projects in the last 6
BCertified Senior Project ManagerAll 28605 years in the last 8, 3 on complex projects
ACertified Projects DirectorAll 28805 years in the last 12, at strategic level

Click a level card to make it your target. The rest of the page then measures against that level.

2. Enter your experience

Under Requirements, enter your years managing projects and your years on complex projects, then save. Three checks must all pass for your target: the experience rule, every required element at its target score, and a project of yours complex enough for the level.

3. Find your gaps

Each element has a bar for your score from 0 to 100 and a mark for the target. Select an element to see what assessors look for, how many evidence items you have and from how many projects, and the log filtered to it.

4. Log what the plan can't show

People and Perspective skills, such as a negotiation or a conflict you resolved, rarely appear in a plan. Under Log something you did, describe what you did and the result, pick the project or Outside Project 14, and pick the element, or use Suggest element and let the AI propose one. Your own entries count at 0.75 until confirmed.

5. Get a coaching plan

Write my plan asks the Steward for a four-week plan toward your target level, built on your evidence and gaps.

6. Print your portfolio

Evidence portfolio opens a printable record of your evidence by element. Print it or save it as a PDF to take to your certification body.

Steps, fees and experience rules are set by each national IPMA member association. Check yours before you apply.
